When Men Fail

When men fail, legacies are tainted. People always talk of you with a tone and demeanor that they are knowingly leaving something out. I will talk about the person I knew, and I will talk about him professionally are some common remarks made to preface statements about men with tainted legacies. To only be able to be partially talked about is sad.

We all have made mistakes. Can we grow and prosper enough in a positive manner to restore our legacies before we leave this place? Will we have the time to do so? Governor Sanford may have time, but Steve McNair never will be able to. Will we learn from their mistakes? Unfortunately, I think once the media coverage is gone the dunce caps will be put back on. Science will say we are wired as such and legacies will continue to be tainted.

I Gave Away

I gave away God today. I was reading a small book while on the bus. Rhema gave the study book to all men on Father's Day.

I gave mine to a women that said she knew a man that just got saved. Doing so was a great feeling.

Back to the Old

I have gone back to the old template for my blog. Maybe one day I will tinker with the templates to get exactly what I want. Maybe I won't. For now I will stick with this one. It meets my desires for an overall look.

Trying to choose a template is like moving furniture around in a room. It can take a minute to get things the way you really want it.

Blogger and Twitter

Do I really need to use both? I don't know, but I do like the differences. I like following ability on Twitter. Being able to easily get updated news is really nice. At last I don't have to sign up and hand over private info just to get some breaking news. Twitter has more of a BAM, it's out there feel to it.

Another Template Change

I grew dissatisfied with the former template. It was time for another change. It's still not quite what I want, but I think in some ways it is better than the last one.

Thank You U.S. Senate

Yesterday the United States Senate backed an apology for slavery. The apology did not seem to get much news coverage or maybe it's just my scatter brained viewing habits. When I did see it covered on the local news all I could think was wow. Apparently the President does not have to sign anything to make this official.

I am neutral on the reparations issue for now. I don't understand enough about how such a thing could work with us being so far removed from actual events at this time. I'm sure someone has something figured out, but will and can it be fair. I don't know.

Enough of the China Made Knockoffs

This copycat stuff in China is going to far. I hope RIM and the U.S. government do something about this.
